DDG PASTOR Z. GUIAO GRACES PGS GRADUATIONAND TRAINING INDUCTION PROGRAM

On stage was DDG Pastor Z. Guiao giving his message during the graduation rites joined starting from left by PD Rodrigo G. De Villa, OIC-RD Florencio F. Sunico Jr., OTTI-ED Teodoro S. Sanico, SNCAT-CA II Wilfredo C. Tiu, PhD, ASSAT-Administrator Mr. Nardo D. Mariano.and from behind the Speaker were NMSF-Administrator Mr. Felipe A. Maneja and AND-Center Chief Mr. Ruben S. Baguio.
As Guest of Honor, Deputy Director General Pastor Z. Guiao graces the Pangulong Gloria Scholarships (PGS) Graduation and Training Induction Program on March 28, 2009 at the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology – Institute of Marine Science and Fisheries (SNCAT-IMSF), Surigao City Campus, Brgy. Day-asan, Surigao City for the 52 graduates on the following qualifications to wit:
Food Processing NC II - 6 graduates
Aquaculture NC II - 4 graduates
Automotive Servicing NC II - 5 graduates
Agriculture Crops Production NC I - 1 graduate
RAC Servicing NC I - 2 graduates
Tour Guiding NC II - 9 graduates
Slaughtering Operation NC II - 25 graduates
Due to conflict schedules, the City Mayor of Surigao was not able to attend the program, but then still several TESDA officials were able to attend the occasions aside from the College Administrator and Campus Deans of different satellite campuses. Also present to grace the occasions were the OTTI-Executive Director Teodoro S. Sanico, TESDA Caraga-Regional Director, TESDA Regional PGS Focal, Provincial Director of Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte PTC Center Chief and all TESDA Technology Institutes Administrators of the Caraga Region.
DDG Guiao stressed strongly to the schoolars that “Poverty is not a hindrance to success”. He also cite his personal life as an example that he exerted extreme sacrifices before arriving on what he has attained today.
He said further that, “ If only Juan Dela Cruz seriously desires to earn much for fruitful future living, chances has now brought up to our door steps in terms of sincere initiative of our government leaders headed by the President of the Philippines like the “Pangulong Gloria Scholarship Program”.
He then added, “Why don’t we take advantage of this opportunity offered by the government to all Filipinos? This will really help our youths to finish courses especially the poor and deserving who lack financial resources. There’s no reason now for the parents to cry for not sending their children to school because of high tuition fees”.
After the Graduation rites, the Training Induction Program (TIP) was conducted for Slaughtering Operation NC II (25 scholars) and Household Services NC II (20 scholars) under the PGS Program by the Provincial Director Rodrigo G. De Villa. The Regional Focal for PGS Program Mrs. Emma De Villa together with the Campus Deans also witnessed the induction program.
