Resolution NO. 001 s. 2009

Authorizing the college administrator ii of the surigao del norte college of agriculture and technology to allocate and disburse fund for the operation, maintenance and upgrading of the sncat fm broadcast station

WHEREAS , the Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology –Institute of Marine Science and Fisheries, Day-asan, Surigao City would be operating an FM-Radio Station having a frequency of 94.5 Mhz;

WHEREAS , to ensure sustainability of the broadcast facilities, the college will allocate a minimum of Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000.00) per month that will serve as opertional fund and will be disbursed as the need arises with the approval from the College Administrator II subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations;

WHEREAS , the allocated amount will be taken out from the Sariling Sikap Project (SSP)/Income Generating Project (IGP) and the regular MOOE funds of the college;

WHEREAS , the College Administrator is hereby authorize to accept donations in any form from any legal entity/individuals both local and foreign;

WHEREAS , In compliance with the Memorandum signed by the DIRECTOR GENERAL AUGUSTO BOBOY SYJUCO, Ph. D. dated September 30, 2008 re: Agreement SMAC Activities, the said FM Station is one of the best answers as medium of broadcast media that the school can offer to the public in as much as Social Marketing and Advocacy Campaign of the college is concerned;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED , that the School Board approves the resolution;

BE IT RESOLVED FINALLY that copies of this RESOLUTION be furnished to the TESDA Authorities and to the Office of the Auditor of SNCAT and the of the Director, Philippine Broadcasting Services, Bureau of Broadcast Service to support its application as FO9R Affiliate Station Partner.
