SNCAT Farmers Information Technology Services
(SFITS)
MFITS is an institutional project financially supported by the Caraga Consortium Agriculture Resource Research Development (CCARRD) and Philippine Consortium Agriculture Resource Research Development (PCARRD)in national setting and promotes the development of agriculture and productivity of farmers through e-farm program.
It is provided with k-agrinet project design to network farm agricultural manpower and procedure which can be viewed by farmers who wishes to implement through internet connectivity.
ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTS
- Facilitated the access of Balibayon Farmers and Fisheries Association Incorporated;
- Mangrove survey and socio-economic profiling of Arellano District;
- Pineapple Cooperative Date Dased Mapping;
- Facilitated Re-Echo Tourism Strategy Workshop of Day-asan Fisherfolk;
- Installation of Internet Connection;
- Facilitated Meeting of Balibayon Farmers and Fisheries Association Incorporated and Kapit Bisig Association;
- Conducted training on Pineapple Plantation and disposed 200 pieces of suckers to Day-asan Elementary School.
- Facilitated briefing and orientation of Balibayon Farmers and Fisheries Association Incorporated and Kapit Bisig Association;
- Surveyed farmers at Tagana-an, Mat-I, Anomar, and Mainit Surigao del Norte;
- MFITS Staff facilitated in making Balibayon Farmers and Fisheries Association Incorporated (BFFAI) VISION AND Mission;
- FITS evaluation conducted by CCARD-PCCARD;
- Facilitated Balibayon Farmers and Fisheries Association Incorporated (BFFAI) and Department of Agriculture (DA) consultative meeting;
- Submitted 5 proposal to CCARD;
- Uploading of Technology and Farmers Profile on FITS Database.
TARGET for 2008
- Conduct Galing Ako Magsasaka Training on Balibayon Farmers and Fisheries Association Incorporated;
- Prepare proposal on agri-fishery related project for possible funding from CCARD/PCCARD; and
- Facilitate training on pineapple plantation to some other school of Arellano District.
