Vision

Surigao del Norte College of Agriculture and Technology (SNCAT) is a Center of Excellence in Technical Education and Training committed to produce technically skilled and educated individuals with desirable working attitudes and are capable of providing jobs for themselves through a journey of entrepreneurship.


Mission

SNCAT takes the responsibility for the provision of relevant and high quality technical education and training that are responsive to the development needs of the community particularly in the field of agriculture, forestry, fishery and industrial technology.


SNCAT caters the education and training needs among school youth, out-of-school youth and middle class workers in the rural communities and thus respond to the changing demands of the local and global competitiveness. It shall also give high priority and concern in the educational plight and welfare of women/indigenous people/muslims in the countryside.


SNCAT integrates multi-sectoral and collaborative efforts among other line agencies in carrying out its three-fold functions namely: instruction, research and extension.


SNCAT, being a TESDA school, advocates technical education and training with emphasis in entrepreneurship, as the most appropriate reform in the country’s educational system.


Goals

  • Offer technical-vocational programs in the field of agriculture, forestry, fishery and industrial technology;
  • Offer additional short-term technical education program and training;
  • Develop and increase productivity and profitability among existing IGEs & SIEs;
  • Develop and strengthen research and extension services;
  • Continuously upgrade human resources capability of faculty and staff; Upgrade and acquire necessary equipment and facilities;
  • Establish more linkages with LGUs, POs, NGOs, Private Industries and other government line agencies.
